I wish I could have taken more pictures of the fire, but there are plenty of those online on all the news sites. Here is the mountain nearest us. This is pretty early on, while we were still packing our car. After several hours, the fire was on both sides of the mountain, and you could see flames leaping up now and then as the fire found something bigger than chapparal to burn. This picture was taken right outside our door and you can see the condo's carports on the right. About 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning, 10/23.
