One of the things that has been hardest for Eden out here in Michigan is that we aren't spending a lot of time outside. It's really cold here, and on top of that her cousins have colds. And I don't think anyone here is used to spending hours on end outside this time of year, anyway.
When all the noise and hullabaloo get too much to handle, a quick session of Mommy Milk or a quick walk outside seem to be all that is needed to reset her needle to zero.
That said, we still haven't been outside much lately. Some, but not a lot. Thursday, we played outside in the rain, which was a good thing because Friday the temperature plunged from the low 60s into the 40s.
This morning she kept bringing me assorted pairs of shoes, taking my hand and leading me to the door. (It nearly breaks my heart to say no, because she looks up at me with such a sweet, innocent face, as if to say, "Why, of course it's time to go outside, Mommy.")
Tonight, she wanted to go push her stroller around outside.
She had her diaper bag (purse? briefcase? gig bag?) all ready to go, too.
All dressed up, and nowhere to go. See that look on her face? The one that wonders why I'm still sitting on the couch after she's gone to all the effort of gathering her things for an outing?
(Notice, also, that it's dark outside. About 8 p.m. And about 36 degrees Farenheit.)
Ah, my sweet Eden. I'll take you out tomorrow.

Ok, this is cracking me up. I hope she wasn't too upset when you didn't get off the couch! At least she's a girl who knows what she wants, and what she needs to bring on the journey!
