The doves are back.
I noticed them outside my window at work yesterday. They set up "nest"
in the pine tree outside my window every spring; and, if I'm not
mistaken, this is their third year. Do they mate for life, I wonder?
I always watch them building their nest (and they stick around for
quite awhile) but I have never seen little baby birds.
Maybe this year they'll have little baby birds while I'm growing a
little baby of my own.
It's nice to see them again. It means the days are getting longer, and
soon spring will be in the air. Which means spring cleaning,
gardening, painting, and -- this year -- getting the baby room ready!

Aw, that's neat! We have a pair of doves that set up shop in our yard somewhere and hang out in my side garden. Just because you don't see the babies doesn't mean they aren't there... have you ever seen a baby pidgeon? No, but they reproduce quite fine. :-)
p.s. how the heck do you spell 'pidgeon'?
Love you,
Hilary
